Qeturahs Tropika Summer Pop Up is coming up on the 29th and 30th of July 2017 and we are going to be live, experiencing a variety of creative quality made in Nigeria brands. The offline market place promises to be a whole lot of fun. It exists for these quality brands to showcase their innovative products, make sales, network and engage.
Every so often after an exhibition, you hear vendors say “I didn’t sell at that exhibition, I wont go back next year” And they state this fact as though the organizers of the exhibition were supposed to lead attendees to each vendor one after the other. In the same vein you hear other vendors talk about how they sold out all their products and you wonder how that is even possible.
In continuation of the role it plays in promoting Made-in-Nigeria quality products in the Nigerian economy by helping as many quality creative small businesses be at the forefront of the market, Bellafricana.com has also launched African Creative Exhibition and Awards (ACE Awards) to encourage those engaged in creating richer platforms.
The Founder, Bukky Asehinde, wonders, “Why should we wait on financial backing from the government and big institutions to help this industry? When we can create a platform to connect these Afrocentric businesses, they are maximising raw materials in Nigeria (Africa), providing employment for local talents within the country and creating wealth for the Nation”.
The complete list of Bellafricana ACE Awards nominees have been released and it is with great pleasure to see that well deserving brands made it on…
Adding value and creating impact is a noble cause that should be awarded. This by no means undermines or belittles the efforts of the brands that weren’t nominated, far from it.
BoConcept opens a special exhibition featuring artworks by Peju Alatise and Yetunde Babaeko’s photography which is tagged as “Art Meets Design“. The exhibition is aimed at establishing a connection between Nigerian arts and contemporary Scandinavian furniture, which comes with functional designs.
