Victoria Falls is located along the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, at one mile wide and 360ft tall. A Scottish explorer- David Livingstone named the falls after his reigning queen in 1855. Locally, it is called Mosi-oa-Tunya, “the smoke that thunders,” a name given to it by the people of Kalolo-Lozi. You immediately know why after seeing the plumes of mist that hover around the largest waterfall in the world as it roars over the edge.

Knysna is located along South Africa’s famed Garden Route in the Western Cape province. The town is famous for its oyster festival, warm people and the most magnificent views from Leisure Isle to the Knysna Heads.
A visit to Knysna is a sublime blend of adventure and relaxation. Garden Route thanks to the sandstone cliffs that dramatically separate its tranquil lagoon from the pounding surf of the Indian Ocean. It’s also home to the country’s largest indigenous forest. There’s a large Rastafarian community outside Knysna at a place called Judah Square.
At the end of South Africa’s Garden Route, in the Western Cape province, you’ll come upon the forested town of Knysna which grew around an extensive lagoon of the same name.
It’s easy to get into the Knysna spirit as you drive in on the N2 highway from Cape Town. The town is well developed, but it feels as if you’re travelling in woodcutter country.
Knysna’s most famed attraction is the Knysna Heads, the treacherous entry into the Knysna lagoon where many an ancient sailing vessel met its doom.
Today the Featherbed Nature Reserve pays homage to the richness of fauna and flora that Knysna has to offer on the southern head, while the northern head forms part of the sprawling residential development that is Knysna.
It is a place where you can escape to breathe clean air under clear skies with magnificent mountain views. You find some of the most beautiful scenery at the Northern and Central Drakensberg area.
It allows you to experience, peace and solitude. Drakensberg is derived from the dutch and means “dragons mountain”. It is the highest mountain range in Southern Africa, rising to 3,482 meters (11,420 ft) in height.
